Does the 250px come with a right angled finderscope

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am getting a skyliner 250px standard tube just wanted to check does this come with a right angled finder scope or do I need to buy a flexi tube

Is the only difference with the flexi that it retracts

Thanks

Mine came with a straight through finder which I think is standard.

The only difference with the flextube as you say, is it collapses for easier strorage and transportation.

And the flextube does come with a right angled finderscope.

They have to give you something for the extra £90 :D

The right angle finders are much more comfortable to use. I replaced my straight through with both a right angle correct image finder and RigelQuikFinder side by side.

I agree, same setup as me. But if I didn't have the quikfinder or telrad, a straight through would be easier to use on it's own.

Mine didn't.

Had to buy one of these (a good buy, makes all the difference).

Mine is less than 4 weeks old and did come with a right angled finder. The thing I like is they give a view which is the right way round and not upside down.

Hmmmm, not in October 2011 it didn't :clouds1:

Maybe different retailers making up different packages? Actually that's nonsense, the finder was buried in one of the boxes that cam direct from the wholesaler. Maybe they don't do it with the GOTO??

Anyway, I'm sure bending is good for me :D

My 200p flextube came with a straight through as well, I got it in December.

I really don't like it, I quite like the red dot finder on my parent's celestron 127 mak, are there any decent red dot finders that will fit the flextube 200p ok?

The Baader Skysurfer III costs about £20 and includes a base that will fit straight on in place of your optical finder. It's a good RDF with a larger optical window than most.
