Probably a REALLY STUPID question...but I'll ask...

Just taken delivery of my new 200p Dobsonian...:D

...all assembled and drooled over, but clear skies have eluded the last few nights.

I've taken it out during the day, and aligned the finder scope as per the instructions by using a nearby hill top.

Both views in the finder and the main 'scope are inverted (upside down).

Does this mean my constellations will be too...???

Dougie.

Inverted and upside down when you view the night sky is not a concern, you soon get used to it. You can get right-angled correct way up finder scopes if that's any help, but I suggest a Telrad finder for your Dob, much easier to use.
