Webcam basic software

Hi,

Can anyone suggest some basic software for image and movie capture software for a webcam to use during astrophotography?

Or do most people use built in windows software?

Try Craterlet (very simple), Wxastrocapture or Sharpcap (both a bit more complex).

Im going to give sharpcap a try. Videos look quick and easy. Any tips for a first time user? must have settings or the like?

I can't access youtube with my work computer so I can't send you a link, but 'AstronomyShed' has posted some neat video tutorials on using Sharpcap.
