Hello Mr Onions, (can I call you that) as John has posted it is an old Vixen Polaris mount. I think it dates from the 1970 but I suspect I will be corrected on that. I saw it tucked away in Richards works shop when I visited to pick up an old Hilkin refractor. Richard had aquired it with a small reflector and seemed reluctant to sell it on its own. However as I had expressed an interest in the 60mm Skylight a deal was done. Because it was used with a refector it had short legs, so Richard made some longer ones. The mount can be adjusted to work as an equatorial or alt-azimuth mount. There is a Vixen 80mm on a very simular mount on the Skylight website.
