Hi,

I'm going to be getting a new 'scope soon (8" Dob), and so was looking for a book similar to Turn Left At Orion, but with a bit more content, and objects within reach of larger scopes, that weren't in reach of my 4.75" 'Frac.

I've heard a few names floating around, but what would be the best book for the job?

Clear Skies,

Luke

IMHO "A guide to astronomical wonders" - about a thousand targets all with nice little finderscope maps and eyepiece maps. :(

+1 for Astronomical Wonders, plenty in there to keep you occupied :o

I bought this a while back and its excellent. I also have the latest edition of TLAO but the latter is much more comprehensive. Agree there's enough in here to last a lifrtime.
