1st Solar pic

Here is my first Solar pic.

It was taken through my unpowered ETX70 (I didn't use GOTO )

9mm Orthoscpic lens and my fuji A607 compact.

And of course Baader Solar film (Cheers Steve )

All I can say is we are definately at Solar minimum.

Show your kids this one I used a yellow/orange no.15 filter

Even though it's a quiet sun, it is still a pretty picture Ian. I don't know which part of the Solar Cycle it is in at the moment, but it is going to liven up again at some point.

Nice one Ian....

Have you tried pushing the levels and curves and coulour balance to see if you've captured any granulation, there's usually something of interest PS can find..

I bought some solar film last year and have hardly seen a sunspot since, although the next cycle is not far away.

Still a very good image though.
