Summer skies

I've not used my scope now for a few months. With the skies being so light until so late I've just not been able to stay up long enough due to work etc.

What do others here who can't stay up all night do to maintain interest during the summer months?

buy stuff, flock stuff, mod stuff.

I'd planned on trying to get a good, close up view of the ISS thinking that that's usually an "early" evening target, but even that's gone south at the moment

Or you could just go to work knackered....which i've done a few times this summer.

Same here, I've had some real zombie days, so I try and keep these towards the end of the week or at the weekend!

But don't fret, the nights are drawing in now!

Know just how you feel been 2 months now. I Bought a Sega Planetarium off Ebay.

It's ok, projects a realistic night sky on the kitchen ceiling but can't get the scope to focus !!

Summers time for buying, upgrading, and mod'ing kit. You can spend time here, or organise astro bbq's, visit obsy's, or do what I do - sit there admiring your set up in the lounge and watch the sparks fly off "her indoors" lol

I seem to be drawn to this site as well as flea bay to expand my wealth.

By that I mean intellectual as flea bay tends to have the opposite affect on my bank supply!
