A message to the administrators of SGL:

Would it be selfish and lazy on my part to suggest that SGL could post a regular "Charge your power tank" reminder, say, on the first of every month? I think this public service announcement would be an appreciated feature, as many members seem to forget.

Just a suggestion.

My kitchen calendar has, for the last two years, had mid-monthly "CHARGE TANK!" reminders written on it.

I dumped my Maplins tank at the weekend. Only used it twice in two years and the last time i used it was almost two years ago. Someone wanted to borrow it last week and it wouldn't hold a charge. Regular charging is so important.

Will any powertank work with any scope. I have an old Aldi Powertank and am thinking of using it when I get a Nexstar 8SE. Will it work?

I was advised that you need a centre pin positive regulated power supply with 1.5 amps current to power the 8se
