FluxNebula around M81 & M82 made Mt. Amiata (Italy)

Hi all,

after nearly three years since returning to resume

the Flux Nebula around the two galaxies of Ursa Major:

M81 & M82.

The shots were made during two nights of the

5° StarParty Forum Astrofili.org. at the Mt. Amiata

(Grosseto - Italy) by using a telephoto lens Nikon 300mm

focal length f / 2.8 + ccd ST-10XME luminance.

Wow, that's an awful lot of flux....! I know you've said it was two nights, but what exposures did you use (and how many) to capture this...?

Hi Andy,

I've exposed for two nights with these times:

The first night 12 x 900 seconds

The second night: 8 x 900 seconds

Total 4.5 hours.

Do you have any plans for some shorter exposures or shorter stretches to get the galaxy cores? It might look good.

Hmm lovely lots of flux, super shot. I think you've held M81 nicely, as suggested some short M82 pics for its core would add a bit to it.

Splendid... I was initially expecting it to have been taken by an AG12 or something similar but it was a surprise to see that it was a camera lens that managed to get the flux. Very impressive

Any chance of doing a layered version so we can see M81/82 properly?
