Hi,

Anyone know if pipe like this is available from normal high street DIY chains like B&Q, Wickes etc

gather it's 6" or 8" in diameter ?

Wickes sell it - 110mm underground drainage pipe.... for the large size (160mm) you might be better off going to somewhere like Jewsons...

Our local Jewsons don't do bigger than 110mm. I tried quite hard to find some larger pipe without success. All I've got for most of the pier former is 180mm postal tube increasing at the base using flower pots.

Found a couple of online sites selling the 160mm but its around £50 for a 3m length without delivery...

Aircon Spiral tube is another option and available in a range of sizes from 80-630mm 150mm is about £20 a length plus vat and shipping...

Yes found pipe at B&Q but as stated it's all 110mm

Just phoned them to find out delivery cost and they are just down the road in Welwyn Garden City

Toolstation are open till 7pm and also deliver free over £10

they do the 160mm

Toolstation > Structural > 160mm Underground > Underground Pipe 160mm

100mm/4" is common at diy, 160mm is more builders merchants, you could also check screwfix.

After much searching on price,I got that 160mm pipe from E-Bay.

Try looking in your local recycling centre for off cuts. If you'ar lucky you may get hold of a nice shinny bit of stainless steel flue pipe!
