After about 3-4 hours combined over 2 nights I have finally got my Heq5 pro polar aligned. I tried and failed a few nights ago but tonight I nailed it !!!!!

I know its just a small little step but for me just starting out it feels

like a real achievment..

Again thanks for all the help and advice over the last few weeks.

Well done Andy - nice feeling when the penny finally drops - it'll be a peice of cake from now on :p

Will get the ST80 up and running tomorrow night (ED80 on back order with FLO) so guide scope gonna have to do as my main for a week or so.

Really excited now thou lol

Congratulatins on your patience and determination as you now embark on your astro journey. These difficulties can prove so frustrating but the solution when found, tastes all the sweeter!
