My Saturn imaging window is closing rapidly now and ,like many others,is made far more difficult due to rubbish conds of late.

However last night for about 10mins the seeing and transparency were near very good.

Once Saturn had passed behind the chimney stack I knew it was lost thanks to radiating thermals from the roof.

So with new camera and unfamiliar software I set to....

overall opinion.... very impressed with the camera's sensitivity and am seriously looking fwd to Mars and Jupiter later in the year !

here are two examples from last night red channel only due to time constraints and faffing about :)

I WANT you to have that chip ( not my chip but the chip ) :)

The thing is that at times last night the seeing was sooo steady for more than a fleeting moment and one could see Cassini div all the way around the front and spoke detail !! Astounding !!

.....a I said on CN Karlo, nice images: the upscaled one does hold up very well also..!:):icon_salut::eek:

Despite your poorer elevation for Saturn in the Northern hemisphere at present, I'm sure you're still going to have the chance of a few nice rgb's with a bit of luck!:)
