  1. Wow! This is one of the clearest and most detailed image of sunspot I've ever seen!
  2. Not perfect but it's my very first time doing it! 1st picture consists of 3 separate images. All taken with Huawei P40 Pro. 2nd picture also consists of 3 separate images. Paddy field taken with iPhone 5 while the night sky and the Milky Way are taken with Huawei P40 Pro. Both edited in Snapseed. Any comments and feedbacks are welcomed! I hope to improve more in doing composite!

You're welcome It's quite faint and hard to spot. I don't have a GoTo mount to help me hahaha...

Wow! The Crab Nebula. This is a tough target (at least for me lol). Well done there mate! 👍👍
  5. @BrendanC these are really cracking images... Can't wait to get my 130pds!
  6. I use Deep Sky Camera in my Huawei P40 Pro. It allows users to take light, dark, flat and bias frames. Then you can stack them in softwares like Deep Sky Stacker. Deep Sky Camera is a really good app for taking astro photos (especially for deep sky) and I highly recommend it!
  7. @astroenthusiast you're welcome. I can see your enthusiasm and effort towards this hobby. I'll always be supporting you!
  8. I see. EQ5 is a good mount. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. What telescope are you using with that mount? Looking forward to see your images!
  9. That sounds really great! So excited for you. Did you get any motor drives for tracking as well?
  10. @PeterStudz it was totally unexpected. I woke up that morning and was surprised to see many stars. Then I noticed the faint fuzzy Grey cloud band beside the constellation Scorpius and was thinking, hmm... could it be the Milky Way? Then I rushed off to grab my phone to check out in Stellarium, and heck yes, it's the Milky Way! Can't tell how excited I really was!
  11. This is my first time observing and taking pictures of the Milky Way. In Bortle 5 zone, the Milky Way appears as a faint smudge of clouds. It is located at the southern side of the sky, near the constellation of Scorpius and Sagittarius. Equipment: Huawei P40 Pro on tripod ISO: 500 Exposure: 30s Time: 6:00 a.m. Location: Perak, Malaysia
  12. @astroenthusiast You're most welcome! I really love every pictures that you post here.
  13. Taken in Malaysia. Equipment used: Huawei P40 Pro mounted on cheap spotting scope.
  14. One of my favourite target!
  15. Thanks, Corncrake for the update. Just too bad, DSS is the stacking software that I always use! Where can I read about this problem DSS have with 600d?
  16. Thanks! I've been using the Huawei P40 Pro for nearly 3 months and quite happy with the images it produces. What's a starstax?
  17. Thanks for the suggestion! Pixinsight and Photoshop are definitely on my list! My skies is Bortle 5, in Malaysia.
  18. This is my first time attempting to image the ISS Transit and star trails. Not as great, but I'm very excited about that! Any advice and suggestions are welcomed! Thanks in advance! Taken with Huawei P40 Pro ISO: 150 (first picture) and 50 (second picture) Exposure time: 30s

    Hello!

Hi and welcome to the forum! With dark sky there's a lot that you can see. Usually people will recommend you to get a 6 or 8 inch dobsonian for deep sky viewing since you can see more with a bigger aperture (but collimation is required for a dobsonian!) For lunar, planetary and maybe some bright DSOs a refractor will do fine. Anyway, enjoy yourself here! Zhi Qi
  20. @Alien 13 @Corncrake thanks for your suggestions! The 70d sounds great, let me see if I can try to stretch my budget to get that
