  1. I think you just spot on. I now remember that astroshop gave me 2 similar options and one was that skywatcher but the omegon have faster shipping and that rubber eye guard that made me curious and i ordered the omegon. But should be the same.
  2. I made a review on youtube because i was looking for a ES 82º 30mm but it's out of stock everywhere and this eyepiece i bought was a pleasant surprise. I wish i could see a review like this before i buy it but there is nothing about it on internet. So i did it. Hope you enjoy.
  3. More or less the same here. Finished now for today for the same reasons. 3 times out and in, 12" dob plus a refractor and binoculars. worth it, light and fast movements. Saw jupiter and saturn together, some nebulae, galaxies, mars, clusters, pleiades, more clusters and the usual end of party looking for the horse head, well, looking at it but without seeing nothing. The unique horse head i see every night is the head of the horse in my chimney lol. Here is my astrophoto of it, it is in the same field but my smartphone doesn't catch the stars behind.
  4. they already appear "dancing" together in longer eyepieces with wide FOV
  5. Excellent! The eastern views from the air are amazing with those clean islands.
  6. Salema is a beautiful beach. And Sagres is full of History. I'm glad you spent time here, worth it.
  7. I love my ES 9mm 100º and with a 2xES barlow i get 333x It's an heavy setup but very effective. Had to add more counterweight to see jupiter and saturn at this altitude now.
  8. I'm aware of all of that. That's all relative. What you see has frustration i see has a challenge to get funny moments. The things have different perspectives in life. A Stellina guy could say the same to a traditional astrophotographer. What he doesn't understand is that the traditional AP have fun doing all that process. An AP could also say the same to an old school visual style. Again, doesn't understand he likes all that process. And what to say to a guy with an ALTAZ 70mm? That is a headache? But if the guy is having fun with that and not complaining... I'm also having fun with this challenge and process, what do i have to loose? Beside, if i succeed the reward may be good with loads of good moments. If nothing works i can return it all if i want. No big deal. Party goes on 🎶 please, have a sit. I invite you. 🍻
  9. very nice deal. and don't regret about the photo, i never managed to took a good one with my 70mm refractor. Only of the moon, that is easy.
  10. you should see something like this picture link i found on google took from a 70mm also: https://i.redd.it/9v1om99eav1z.jpg Tiny but beautiful and with the zoom, you go until 12mm +- and you get a bigger saturn. Amazing. And jupiter is bigger, you will see the moons also. Don't give up and wait for a good weather night
  11. When i boought my first 70mm refractor f/10 700 i was able to see Saturn with his rings and Jupiter with little gray lines. So if i could, you also can. I don't know how your light polution is in your zone. Mine is 4/5 and you can check yours, here: https://www.lightpollutionmap.info/#zoom=4.00&lat=45.8720&lon=14.5470&layers=B0FFFFFTFFFFFFFFFF The conditions are important. To adapt the telescope outside for at least 20min, and your eyes the same. With patience try to see if you can foucus better, it seems the problem can be there. Use the 26mm Plossl When you see what i saw you will be very happy. I sugest after that you buy a 8-24mm Zoom.
  12. I was looking for explore 2" scientific 30mm 82º but was, and still is, out of stock everywhere so i decided to give a try to the 2" Omegon SWA 70º. I like that rubber eye guard and i didn't want to go for ES62º. I have the 100º ES 9mm and i love wide fields. Well, i'm quite happy with that Omegon at f/5. I was worried about coma but from Astroshop they said if i didn't like it i could return it without costs. Today i open a place for that eyepiece in my foam case. I was happy, almost no coma at all. Sometimes a litlle on borders but in my ES i can see the same. Not so heavy (comparing with the ES), cheaper and good performance also with the 2x ES barlow/ FocExt i have. And i really really love that kind of strong adjustable rubber. Now i only would buy the 100º from ES but it's too much expensive for my taste. So, here you have another option.
  13. I have Explore scientific filters for visual observation. Are they useful to use with this camera? They are all 2". UHC, OIII, CLS, H-Beta
  14. Yes, this is kinda tropical here. Not for everybody although loads of UK people choose to live here because of the weather.
  15. Thank you all. I feel i will be fine here.
  16. yes i will keep exposures short. After i try i will share here the results for sure. It was very frustrating to search allover the internet for a similar set up experience and didn't find any. So mine will be available for all. Basically i'm a visual guy that wants to try EAA to improve the images, to see what i can't see as a human and also allow my family to enjoy that improvement, specially the kids. For that, having a 12" f/5 dob i didn't want to spend a lot to try EAA neither to buy another telescope so i decided to buy the zwo224mc and the eq platform to make the party with about 600€. Let's see how it goes. Getting focus is the doubt i still have in my head and i have a 2" filter wheel that i imagine will not work because of the backward focus but who knows.
  17. I'm waiting for an order of a eq platform and a ZWO 224MC to enter the EAA world, a difficult set up i know but for a low budget and i want to use my 12" f/5 dobson for that. I wonder if a IR/UV cheap filter would benefit my visual or is only indicated for astrophotography?
  18. And landed! Hi, i've discovered this forum and seems cool. I think you are from UK? Anyway, thanks! I mainly use a 12" f/5 Dob
