  1. Very kind from you @Astro_Dad I just finished right now to watch the Helix nebula with it. Low in the sky, 26º altitude. Just 15 minutes of 10 second exposures with the ZWO 294MC
  2. This is a video to simply place a smile on your face, not a technical debate but I'm sure you've already figured it out. It's just a small silly Parody, for fun. Have a nice day!
  3. Now it's easier to get focus on my 12" Dobsonian Have a nice weekend!
  4. Thanks Pete. You have the tools and the knowledge to have good moments doing EAA. Your C9.25 is very good for that.:) cheers
  5. Oh. May be they give you an opportunity. UK is beautiful and even cloudy days in UK too, but not to astronomy for sure.

  9. Uranus Planet Opposition capture with a 12" DOBSONIAN Telescope, an Equatorial Platform and a ZWO ASI294MC camera. Steps to find it doing Star hopping, capturing with Sharpcap Pro and the final processed Uranus image (Astrophotography / Planetary imaging) are the steps i have in this video for you to enjoy. This is an hard planet to find so i explain a simple way i use to do it. Have a nice weekend!
  10. 2nd wave of improvements to the 8" DOBSONIAN Telescope. Telrad, Anti dew shield, Blackening secondary mirror edges, Flocking tube, Collimation stiffer springs, Power supply for the fan.
  11. Taking a picture of Venus with an 8" Dobsonian telescope without tracking using a smartphone and an eyepiece or a ZWO224MC astro camera. Have a nice weekend!
  12. That's an issue. But not impossible if the dob has tracking, a camera and a laptop. EAA.
  13. It feels good to grab your 8" Dobsonian and travel to a darker site sometimes. In this video i went with my 8" to meet with a friend with a 10" dobsonian at a darker site - The Algarve Mountains, where i live, in the south of Portugal. This is to benefit from one of the great advantages of this telescope: the portability. Enjoy life, enjoy astronomy! And have a nice weekend.
  14. A day full of challenges to capture the images of Pleiades and Triangulum Galaxy with an 8 inch DOBSONIAN telescope that night for the first time. Perseverance, willingness, action over frustration and acceptance of what life gives us it's the main base of this video. The Green Tint? Just the story villain. Have a nice weekend!
  15. Yes indeed. I have that in my 12" dob. And not only that. Looking through my 12" is like looking through a black hole.🙂
  16. True. I have that mod in my 12" too. It's like looking through a black hole lol This is a brand new 8" so i'm improving it step by step. To enjoy. 😁
  17. Important improvements you should do to your 8" DOBSONIAN telescope. This is the first wave of upgrades you can do in your Dob to properly prepare it to have much better visual and imaging sessions. A second wave will be needed which includes also the Telrad finder and it will be explained in another video. Have a nice weekend!
  18. Want to buy a telescope? I give you 5 good reasons to choose an 8" DOBSONIAN Telescope. Usually the right choice for beginners but also experienced astronomers can benefit from its advantages. That's why i bought this one to join my 12 inch. This is not just a single video but the beginning of a beautiful JOURNEY with this set up which i hope you participate too. Please feel free to leave your comments: do you have already an 8inch DOBSONIAN or would you like to have one? What are your thoughts about it? SHARE. This is a TS Optics (GSO) 8" f/6 DOBSONIAN. Have a nice weekend!
  19. Visual, Astrophotography and EAA with a 4x Televue Powermate (2 inch). 3 cool live action demonstrations of the versatility of this powerful telescope tool in this short video. 12" Dob + Eq Platform. Have a nice weekend!
  20. All the steps i do to capture and process Jupiter from the beginning to the end. Since capturing with Sharpcap, centering with Pipp, stacking with AutoStakkert, enhancing with Registax and fine tuning with Photoshop express, this live action video has the purpose to help people that tried and fail because of the multiple software used on the astrophotography process. All the 5 steps are thoroughly and quietly explained without complications. It's not the perfect method but the simpler and easier i can do to obtain a wonderful image of this precious planet. Have a nice weekend!!
  21. In this video you'll find a simple but direct approach about the value and qualities of this special eyepiece. Have a nice week-end! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym7XLLTvG6Y
  22. Different needs, different tools. For my fully 2" needs, APM Fastlock.
