  1. Sorry i probably should of explained it better. I took light frames on an imaging run of IC434, then my flats and dark flats. I had already taken my dark frames a week before this and had them on my laptop. Then my workflow in dss was add light, flat, dark flats and my darks. Then let dss do its thing and at the end of the registering and stacking master dark was created in my dark frames folder. A master flat and dark flat in the relevant folders. I don't use bias frames with my 294MC pro Hope this clears it up.
  2. Hi I have neither apt or your camera sorry, I have asiair pro and 294mc pro. What format does apt take your dark frames in? I had this issue to with mine and never did find a way of stacking all my dark frames to create a master file. What I had to do (rightly or wrongly) was add some light frames of the same exposure time and add the darks to this in dss and stack, then a master dark was created. Cheers Lee
  3. Yep best bet to get everything connected and talking to each other, hopefully first light won't be long off for you, be prtoud of your effort and ingenuity its a great bespoke build 👍
  4. Brilliant and beautiful build Stu, looking very cosy, good luck in the wind and first light 👍
  5. 1.As Shimrod says a 3/16 inch Allen key will do the job or a torx bit at a push. 2. If you don't feel you need to update the mount atm then you don't have to, if you discover tiny issues creeping in maybe then, if it was me I'd update the mount. As said before can be done over WiFi (I have done this successfully before) or as I do now update via an eq mod cable but buy from a trusted source as cheaper ones may not work correctly but some users have. 3. I use 2 x 1kg skywatcher star adventurer counterweights on mine simply because I'm in EQ mode for astrophotography. Cheers Lee
  6. This arrived today from @Danjca beautiful piece indeed will sit very nicely on my 72ed. Such speedy sale and delivery, bought yesterday arrived today 👍
  7. Sounds brilliant Stu, you've done so well for the short space of time, going to be proper. I also have one of those battery powered heat jackets, keeps my core so warm and when using a rechargeable battery pack I can charge my phone at same time. Good luck in the winds forecast 👍
  8. Just an update and after conferring with flo I have bought the FF reducer as it will fit into my rotator without need of adapters and will be better than my ovl at present.
  9. Yes it's exactly the same as what i used on my 72ed, like Adam says above you should need a corrector field flattener really too as when the scope is collimated you may see elongated stars in all corners. Did the chap who sold it to you show you any full frame images he took with the scope?
  10. So pleased you got out with your scope for a quick test and a working as it should 👍
  11. Thank you Ray. So pleased you cracked it now. This will definitely help a lot of others uding the same set up and software I've always pondered it myself, so maybe in the future I'll try to have a crack at it. Good luck 👍
  12. I upgraded from a 600D to a 294mc pro for my 72ed AzGti. The amp glow on the 294mc pro can be calibrated out very easily with the darks and I've had no issues. The bigger sensor FOV won me over.
  13. Hi Laurence Yep thats the one, I'm not sure it'll be much of an upgrade on my ovl FF then. Thank you 👍 Cheers Lee
  14. As @900SLsaid the celestron focuser probably isn't compatible with the asiair pro. Worth asking on the zwo forum too. https://bbs.astronomy-imaging-camera.com/
  15. Hi I have a chance of purchase a FF reducer for my 72ed ds pro. The FF is for an Ed80 so would this fit my scope, my imaging train is a rotator screwed to the focus tube. Then atm my ovl FF the the 21 and 16. 5mm spacers fhen the tilt adjuster then 294mc pro. So a) will it fit my scope and b) is it worth the upgrade Cheers Lee
  16. Ahhh Bisto. Sounds brilliant David, can't wait to see it in action and your images 👍
  17. Thank you, wgat a lovely set up and view you have there, where is it? I use an asiair pro so can't answer your query but hopefully some other owners in here can help you with your issue. I would say nina is a good route to go though never used itbbut does look quite simple. Several owners here use a raspberry pi that may help you think on other alternatives. I'm sure someone can help you.
  18. It looks amazing David, been waiting to see someone mount the heritage 150 on an az gti. Are you going to add a counterweight to it? Would love to hear when you have first light with it 😁

  23. Here is my offering of M81 & 82 taken back on two nights of 12-13th January 2022. Using : sw 72ed ds pro Az gti in eq mode Asiair pro 294 mc pro just over 2 hours of data, 41x180 sec subs, 120 gain -10 degrees, calibrated with darks, flats and dark flats. Its not great as near full moon but was opposite to it, needs much more data. Thanks for looking Lee
