Here on flo website its 7.5v-14v 0.75a, I use a 12v power supply via an AAP and previously used a 12v talentcell battery pack. Cheers Lee -
Hi I use the AAP with my az gti mount. I use a lynx astro eq dir cable from the mount to AAP. Then USB from the AAP to guidecamera and set eq mod mount in the AAP software. As above no need for st4 cable or any settings to change, the AAP with recognise the guidescope camera automatically. Cheers Lee

Was it any better using the new downloaded software? Maybe see if anyone has an el cheapo device to use or buy cheaply. I used to use a spirit level on my mount, scope and tripod as I think the spirit bubble on my tripod and mount were off and very badly put in. -

Really pleased you've got vthis mount now, it's a beauty. Regarding your poor guiding, I suspect the poor PA and windy position wouldn't of helped you in your guide rate. I use my set up in EQ mode via an asiair pro so can't be of much use with the raspberry pi and I'll get around 0.5-1.5 guiding on a good night. Could you send a picture of your set up. Cheers Lee -
Thank you. My first time imaging it and I was pleased to get something on it this year with all the imaging issues I had and rubbish weather. Will spend more time on it next year as this is only 24 minutes. It was clear here last night but blowing a gale so no imaging for me. Really pleased it was a good session you last night, I hope your processing goes well, I'll look forward to the result π

Brilliant thank you David, gosh I'm so thick! I couldn't find anything on it anywhere -
About time to start 2022 for telescope stuff...

Good luck tonight, hope it stays clear and you get those photons, you deserve it. Clear here tonight but blowing an absolute hooley so no go here. -

My Rosette from last night https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/391423-ngc-2244/?do=findComment&comment=4216681 -
My somewhat hmmm rendition of NGC 2244 the rosette nebula taken last night on a test mission to see if I've cured the eggy stars in my images. 8 x 180 sec subs (all I could manage as the transparency went awful after and the Meridian came up and for some reason my set up didn't like after the Meridian) 120 gain - 10Β°, 30 darks, flats and flat darks π. Skywatcher 72ed AzGti eq mode, zwo asiair pro, zwo asi294mc pro zwo ir uv filter Yep and my framing wasn't quite right and chopped part of the rosette off.

Thank you David a fantastic tip indeed. Love the ingenuity and hope it serves you well πcan I ask with the WO wedge is there a way of adjusting the clutches on it to clamp a bit tighter or am I being thick and they just have a standard tightness as my RA clutch is all the way over tight but still doesn't feel as though it tightens enough, maybe it goes and it's just me. -

Can you use another device, I think the issue maybe that it's running android 12, which synscan app has well known issues with anything over android 11 -
Eggy stars - my sensor too close?
AstroNebulee replied to AstroNebulee's topic in Getting Started With Imaging
Update number 1054. I managed to get out with my scope last night and try out testing the additional 5mm of extra spacing in my imaging train. It appears to be so much better, there's just and issue of tilt in the bottom left corner now. This is a 30 second single sub on Regulus my test and focus star. So my back spacing is now 60mm. This consists of long tube version of sw 72ed, sw rotator, ovl FF, 60mm of spacing including zwo tilt adjuster and zwo 294mc pro. Just got to figure out which grub screw to alter on my tilt adjuster to sort eggyness in bottom left. I'm much happier than I was Tuesday night when it was all pants before the 5mm spacing was added for Friday night test. I'll add that guiding was good when it was first clear but then the transparency deteriorated a lot. -

Hi, I've seen this issue before with the app crashing, I'm sure @Agshad these issues too and a few other users. So they can also suggest solutions. It could be that your phone is running a higher android os and synscan pro doesn't like this. (think it's android 11 that's iffy) Try downloading the synscan app from the skywatcher website here. I think that cured a users issue. https://skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/ Also could you try another device with android is lower than 11. Cheers Lee -

Good luck Ray, I've been out tonight to sort my eggy star issue, not a puff of wind but transparency is rubbish. Moro night looking good but blowing a hooley supposedly. -

Stunning Ags, absolutely loving your Rossette nebula. I've had a go tonight and managed 8x 180 sec subs before the Meridian came (my setup don't do well after the Meridian for some reason) yours is beautiful and only 4 sec subs π -
When I used my unmodded 600D I only took lights, flats and bias never bothered with darks as made no difference or made it slightly worse.

Eggy stars - my sensor too close?

Thank you. I was getting the same issue with a 30 second sub too. I haven't got the inage on me as yet, it's on my laptop. But will post it soon and really hoping to get out and test the 5mm spacer. -
Seems very strange to me. Do you take flats atall? I take it the wavy lines aren't in the HH nebula image, (I'm on on my mobile phone looking) could it be interference from something close to the dslr? What happens when you stretch a single sub before stacking is the banding there then? Hopefully someone with a brain will be along shortly and advise properly. Cheers Lee

I think with the adjustments you've made your gotos will be much better now. If you can align the finderscope with the main scope during the daytime, focus on a far away chimney or telegraph pole, have fun and enjoy π -

Beautiful indeed this set up makes me drool. This was my first az gti set up. You're going to love the crispness and contrast of moony and for doubles she's a beauty. πWhen the funds allow this will be my next az gti set up. Have fun with it, you won't be sad now you own one of these. +1 for upgrading the clamp to adm one as @LaurenceTsays
