  1. I tried the above instructions however i can no longer get Wine Bottler to work using the latest iOS update Big Sur. Below may help. I use Crossover to run software such as Autostakkert, Astrosurface etc you can download a free trial. The update did take 3 attempts. Twice with a failed update. Success the third time updating within 30 seconds. Simply power off the AZ-GTI and start the installer process again step 4. Be wary. I've read a few horror stories when attempting to update the firmware. 1. Download the files Download crossover free trial Download Windows program: Motor Controller Firmware Loader - WiFi, Version 1.74 and unzip Download the Firmware: AZGTi Mount, Right Arm, AZ/EQ Dual Mode, Version 3.26 and unzip 2. Create a windows environment Create new bottle click the + bottom left Choose windows 10 64 bit Once installed click the Run Command 3. Turn on the AZ-GTI Turn on the AZ-GTI On the mac connect to the Synscan wifi network 4. Run the installer Browse and select the Motor Controller Firmware Loader - WiFi, Version 1.74 file you downloaded earlier it should be named MCFirmwareLoader_WiFi.exe and click Run Browse and select the Firmware file AZGTi_RightArm_AZ_EQ_V0326.mcf The IP address should be added by default 192.168.4.1 Untick synscan wifi dongle Click update Good luck
  2. +1 for Affinity photo. I also use Crossover which allows you to run some PC packages such as Pipp, AutoStakkert, Registax and Astrosurface on a mac. It has a free trial too.
  3. Delighted the pubs are back. Asked a mate owns an engineering firm for a 2kg Counterweight - payment a couple pints and a welcome catchup.
  4. @jjohnson3803 If you don't mind 2nd hand keep an eye out on the SGL ads section as i'll be selling my bresser 102/460 soon if my new scope arrives next month.
  5. More bolts. The two black items are intended as stoppers heaven forbid the scope slips. Some bubble levels - a bit bigger than i thought so always read the description. William Optics wedge. Others have noted it is rather expensive but reassuringly hefty and a dovetail plate - fed up of red.
  6. I have one. My first refractor and a very capable scope and superb value for money. Upgrades I would recommend are tube rings (the supplied dovetail is held with two small screws) a 1:10 focuser and maybe a semi apo filter too.
  7. Hope this is the right place. I use a google pixel5 phone or Samsung galaxy tab A7 both running Android 11. Updating the ASIAIR to the latest version 1.6 results in the app crashing once you click the video mode. Impossible to use unless you uninstall the app and clear the app cache. Even then it's still quite buggy and several attempts needed to get the app to start. I logged a ticket on the ZWO forum and they have acknowledged this so hopefully fixed soon. A couple of others have also reported this on the Note 10 and Tab 6. https://bbs.astronomy-imaging-camera.com/d/12578-upgrade-to-16-app-crashes-on-android-11 Thought i'd pass on just in case.
  8. Alignment is key as mentioned, the wedge will really help too. The AZ-GTI is an excellent place to start and many do. Don't think you need to spend £0000's to get fantastic results. Just manage your expectations then spend away if you feel the need. Some good results here https://www.astrobin.com/search/?q=az-gte
  9. When using the app on my phone (Pixel 5) i have always had to switch off the mobile network or mobile data and it then works. If i leave both mobile and wifi switched on i can never connect to the Asiair.
  10. The Aluminum alloy one. I was being tight as it was £3 cheaper! Saving up for a Tak.
  11. Of course. It's from the Starpal store.
  12. A M12 counterweight bar for the AZ-GTI from Aliexpress a speedy 7 days from order to delivery. Now need to find a suitable counterweight or use some bushing for the ones i have.
  13. Following on from @HollyHound helpful advice. The same Scopetech Zero adapter mentioned above with a Berlebach 3/8 - M10 adapter for the Report 312 with a 3/8 screw.
  14. Couple of adapters purchased after reading this thread on the Scopetech Zero. Berlebach 3/8 to M10 from APM Germany for the Report 312 Tripod and a Scopetech Mount Zero adapter from FLO.
  15. I think you will. They rarely seem to come up for sale second hand so i assume when purchased they are all keepers.
  16. Celestron Ultima Edge 10mm. Apparently the same as the APM with a little dash of colour added. Nice and light.
  17. I also have a couple. They are mighty fine.
  18. I read the excellent animation post @Kon added a few days ago and may as well give it a go. Pieced together from some avi's over the past few weeks with gaps for when clouds were around. I didn't realise this could be done so colours are here and everywhere. A neat way i think to gauge how i progress as i learn on the job. I used https://ezgif.com/ to create the animation. Photoshop seemed too much hassle.
  19. may as well have been, i was a little delicate this AM.
  20. Yes it's really nice product, so nice i'm going to buy another. Didn't think i'd ever type words expressing awe for a cable .
  21. Arrived yesterday however i was at the Pub after a long absence. ASIAIR dovetail clamp and a power cable. The clamp is well made but i feel a tad overpriced by ZWO.
  22. @F15Rules thank you I will try using it as you have suggested. Always a useful tip or two at SGL.
  23. Very nice. Resisting at the moment from buying one too.
  24. Thanks, too good a price to not give it a try. Good to know it's been very useful too.
