Well I thought I would offer my experience. As an avid amateur astronomer I have never really used binoculars, that is until the arrival, today, of a pair of Celestron Skymaster 12x60’s. where have I been! A quick break in the clouds this evening, grabbed the bins bolted to a spare monopod and voila an amazing FOV, the night sky lit up with clusters in clear view. I even made sight of Andromeda, faint but all there. Just out of interest a lot of reviews state they often arrive needing collimating. They worked perfectly out of the box very happy.

Hello to all, Sorting out my EP collection and decided to sell these two. In particular the Baader Hyperion Moduler 10mm as I already have the 13mm with a spacer ring so that gives me 10.8mm so the 10mm not needed. As with all my EP’s they are bought from either FLO or Rother Valley Optics. This is only a couple of months old and used a couple of times. It’s immaculate and complete with original box and the associated eye cups and covers. Price, £85 including postage and packing SOLD The other EP is my Skywatcher SWA 58 deg 9mm Planetary. Live viewing from 127 mak to MacBook help please
Andrew stuart replied to Andrew stuart's topic in Imaging - Discussion
I’ve moved this topic to “getting started, equipment” my mistake putting it in the wrong forum. Thanks. -
I think I put this question in the wrong forum originally. Ok so here’s the dilemma. My 127 mak goto is on the patio, all set up with Wi-fi link to iPad for control etc. So currently I can sit in my garden office and move the telescope to where I want, go to the scope and view. Very handy as cold nights at the moment. Now, what I want to do is attach a live view camera to the scope and connect to my MacBook in the office, thus giving me live viewing etc. can someone please recommend the best solution based on the above, which hopefully makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Do I need both eyepieces ?
Andrew stuart replied to Andrew stuart's topic in Discussions - Eyepieces
Hello from a very cloudy and wet South of the Uk. Thanks for the reply and images. Love your setup and really interesting point on the 2” diagonal. I will be moving up to a Celestron 8se hopefully and would be keen to go the way you have.
