  1. Those ep’s would be great in a frac and I’d stay with them if you like them. One question, what is the 13 like in comparison to the 20? I wonder how someone would get on with the APM”s as a full set and nothing else.
  2. Never got to experience the pub dinners but I’ve eaten loads of steak 🥩
  3. Pleasant but expensive, however apart from work, bath, eat and sleep I’ve been nowhere and done absolutely nothing.. this is my social life 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  4. I think I’d keep bst’s in my coat pocket. Just the right size. One in the focuser, 1 left pocket, 1 right pocket. Nice and organised 😁
  5. Even if you settle at 70deg, it’s going to be great having 100deg at 20mm for sure. I tried the nagler last night and the APM is up with it I thought.
  6. I was happy with the Delos at 72deg and could have stopped there I suppose. At the time I couldn’t find a 4.5 Delos anywhere so I got a 4.7 ethos.. the rest is history.
  7. Or on the tray so the weight is equal on all 3 legs. I’m sure these things will help.
  8. Yes I think so.. it’s got to stop somewhere and it may as well be with this shabby bunch 😉
  9. That’s not a bad telescope and the tripod legs will stiffen up if you rill them with sand 👍
  10. I’ve had it a year and didn’t realise it could see like that. I only tried it to se “what if”.
  11. I think you will find it difficult to see the Rigel in daylight, I did mine on the pole star. It looks a good setup. Where do you load the ammunition 😁
  12. The one I’ve pictured above holds true. It hasn’t moved from the day I set it. Some are good but some are bad.
  13. This is the one I use mostly. It looks very similar. I have no trouble getting on targets with it. One eye or both eyes when the dot obscures.
  14. Just went through all of them on Orion Nebula as that’s all the time I could get with clouds heading my way. I wanted to see how things changed as I upped the magnification as I’ve not done this on that target before. I was amazed how good the 4.7 is on this target, it quite surprised me. it goes really close and personal with the 110 degrees although in the frac it’s only just over 150x. It’s really quite bright with that ep. (without filters)
  15. Well.... after trying so many eyepieces, I’ve lately been finding new homes for all the ones I’ve let go. Hopefully anyone who’s had one/some from me is enjoying them. My main aim was to get the set to a usable minimum and spend less time changing them in and out of the focuser. My set is now just 6 eyepieces that work well in both my 4 inch frac and my 8 inch reflector. I think these are all I should ever need 🤞
  16. It will just be like pointing a canon once you have it set 😎
  17. I used a Rigel on my reflector and keep wanting to try it on my refractor. I love simple sighting setups.. and the image is the right way up 👍
  18. A nice pair of objects. What’s the Rigel going on ?
  19. Some foam is more firm than others. Mine was quite dense/stiff.
  20. Well, that’s what I used. Anything shorter than those blades chews the foam up.
  21. As long as it hold the telescope firmly that’s the most important thing 👍
