I've been wanting to shoot this for ages , and finally managed some imaging time over the past few nights .. Friday was good here and last night was supposed to be good from about 11 .. in fact it was good from about 7 but unexpectedly the clouds rolled in later .. I haven't done much LRGB I seem to stick with Narrowband due to the moon light always being an issue .. so not had much practice with processing the subs which looked poor .. anyways 66 x 300 sec LRGB subs 26 x 600 sec Lum and Ha 92 subs total integration time of 9.8 hours .. for what it was worth the Ha didn't bring much to the table and was a waste of time .. but you live and learn .. processed in APP , PS & LR

shot this on 28-29th November and again on the 1-2 December . only 2.3 hours of 300 sec subs LRB synG .. I was hoping to add another 4 hours last night but the clouds that were not predicted rolled in about 2.30 this morning , and after stopping and starting a couple of times I gave up . but processed the little data I had today with this result .. shot on my 130 EDT with QSI583

Hi Dave , thanks for the reply .. I processed the data from Friday , not too much to be honest as I loose the target behind the house , I think I managed 4 hours ... so I'm on it again now .. the image from fridays data is ok but not the detail I tend to get with narrowband ..

I haven't done much LRGB imaging as I have mostly been using Narrowband .. anyways , started on Friday night with NGC1333 , and the subs look poor , I'm wondering if it's light pollution, especially as we're starting earlier now .. any thoughts .. heres a sub , don't worry about the square pattern that's just the iPad taking a pic of the laptop .

Hi Ole , I. Have just brought one of these myself , not received it yet .. but I have a question .. silly as it may be . This will be mounted on my pier .. so when I fire it up how will it connect to my laptop to operate it .. normally when I connect my laptops , one outside , one inside in the warm with me .. I bring up team viewer on the outside laptop get the password then connect inside .. but when I turn the new mini on outside there will not be any screen .. I don't know if I have explained it too well ..

Hi Ken . the scope has the 0.7 reducer flattener fitted so f8 ..and I'm using a QSI583 camera with OAG ..

I managed to get out Monday night for the first time in months due to the very poor weather , which is annoying for a number of reasons .. one being I have 3 scopes that I need to set up for various reasons .. I have just fitted a new moonlight focuser with Rotator to my 130EDT .. , my TS65 Quad on iOptron 25 mount hasn't been set up since purchasing, and I fitted a set of colomation knobs to my 8" Edge which meant that this needed setting up properly .. so I decided to use the Edge as I wanted to capture the Crab Nebula and this gave a nice FOV .. I didn't get quite as long as I wanted on the target as I was setting the focus up etc ..but managed 6 hours total integration time 24 x 600 sec Ha 3nm 12 x 600 sec OIII 3nm processed in APP , PS and LR

Thanks guys for your comments , I didn't even bring my equipment down this week , all my weather apps are showing cloudy nights all week .. so I'm just going to enjoy my holiday 😁, and finding possible house locations ..

Thanks Mark .. that west coast ,even though its my favourite, is probably an area we will try and stay away from due to the fact that it does take the brunt of the Atlantic weather .. but who knows it the right property turns up we could be there ..

Hi all , my wife and I are hopeing to move down to Cornwall next year , and just wondered if there was anyone on here that lives there already , we haven't got any specific area just depends on the right property .. .. but I wanted to ask how they find the weather down there for our hobby ..
