  1. Watching Jupiters Galilean moons in obit from the approaching Juno spacecraft is magnificent. Once in a while I enjoy watching this NASA clip.
  2. A bit hazy out but no wind, the moon and Jupiter look smashing!
  3. Oh my gosh, i was curious and looked on FLO’s website, the Lunt 60 configuration I purchased here in Canada is nearly double the price in UK when considering the exchange back to Canadian dollars, outrageous!
  4. In fact, this image is me pinned down under the FS128 lens cap. Revisited this thread just now 😁
  5. Wow, I love that mount and tripod, very flashy! which one is it? NO, I don’t need more temptation, don’t tell me.
  6. Great job of capturing the famous tower nebula! not sure why this copied twice.

    Welcome to SGL!
  8. It seems @globular has the answer, those do look like fiber optic cables.
  9. Can someone explain what is happening at the front end of this telescope? has anyone seen telescope weirdness they cannot explain? post it here.
  10. On the lower to mid range I have never really had a complaint about the Celestron X-cell eyepieces, they are pleasant to look and well made, worth a look.
  11. Oh boy, join the club, if it’s not stifling hot with squadrons of kamikaze mosquitoes it’s freezing cold.
  12. Beautiful image of the crescent moon, and pretty neat you can do this from inside on frigid nights.
  13. Enjoyed that report, try shorts and crocs here where it’s minus twenty, you’ll be praying for fur lined undies!
  14. Amazing! I see you have the starlight feathertouch focuser, I am eyeing one of those for my 128 but I would like to know if it will will work as well with the 2.7” focuser.
  15. Welcome! A lunt 60 is a great H-alpha scope, just like night observing, seeing plays a big role in what you will be able ro resolve. Be patient with the tilt tuner, my first Lunt was tilt tuned and I struggled with understanding how to use the tilt. It seemed the slightest adjustment to the wheel can throw it off band.
  16. These are impressive! I didn’t think any of the tiny smart scopes were as capable as this, tempting. It makes me wonder what future models of this unit will be capable of, things will only get better with time.
  17. Clear here, but minus 17 so no thanks!
  18. I knew it! there had to be another eyepiece sucker out there!
  19. Yes! But that dude looks way cooler, I look like a runny nosed, shivering, sniveling little wimp.
  20. Sell them? maybe, rarely ever do I sell an eyepiece, I do disinfect them with wipes, though.
