The source code needs to be compiled for the rpi, as it uses an arm instruction set I believe. Ubuntu Linux can run on intel or arm I think.
Rpi OS is very good these days so probably a good idea to get the latest distro.
I don’t know if a compiled mysqm file from someone else will work if shared, you may need to contact Rob to find out.
In the past year +, my hardware hasn’t been setup so am just using sensors connected direct to the rpi and I’ve written my own python bits n bobs to read and display, alongside heating and cooling.
The allsky software has very recently been heavily updated and is available now, so definitely update if you can.
As per @Jonk you would need the source code from Robert prob programmed in free Pascal then compile with lazarus for the RPi, I did it for the dew controller for Robert a couple of years ago. He does come on here from time to time @brown_rb but last visited 2021 tho maybe fire him an email from his sourceforge account?

Just to keep derailing this thread, do Brits go around discussing engine power in kW instead of horsepower? If they do, they kudos for being consistent in using SI units.
and why do we still use rigid equipment US with non metric tools albeit imperial inches and US allen keys to change the teeth Duh....

At work we order paint from a particular company. We order in litres and they measure in Kg... I do the accounts and we have something called Goods Received Not Invoiced. We order 10lt and they deliver 9.77ltr - that leaves a cash balance in GRNI which I have to journal out! Does my head in.
same over the river here our supplier supplies in either 25kg or 30kg tins. depends on the viscosity of the paint used

I understand the desire to stay away from rolling your own! Curious to know what's the advantage of getting a 64-bit version?
it's not like windows and getting the latest version.

Any updates would be seen on Indilib.org forum and not here in the first instance anyway albeit Radek is a member on here as well.

Hi, I just reinstalled 1.8.16 and now the library is being seen. So progress!! However I am getting an error during the compiling, which I will have a look at tomorrow. I am making very heavy weather of a normally simple process 🙄
probably which sensor are you using DHT or HTU you need to edit one of the config files controllerconfig.h
glad you are making progress

Yep, that's where they are. I have tried everything I can think of. I even deleted the compiler and re-downloaded. Whatever I do it fails. I never had this problem with the focuser.
I really don't know what to try now 🙁
what version arduino are you using i'm on 1.8.16 and compiles just fine if you are using arduino v2 then maybe a problem

Thanks for the help I am trying to use version 342. I can find and see all the library files and use preferences to point at the library but still it won compile with the same message. Rather frustrating.
Thanks
Ian
Ian, Have you copied the files as above to your Documents\Arduino folder if not then it won't compile

Hi,
I thught I would have a go at this having had success with the my focus pro. However, when I try to compile I get this error message:
myQueue.h: No such file or directory
Looking in the myqueue folder there is a notepad file.
I am pretty sure (several repeat downloads and unzipping as well as redefining the library path) that I have set this up ok, but to no avail.
Can some one point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
Ian
which version are you using?
There should be eight folders in the myDewController Libraries folder
myDallasTemperature
myDHT21
myEEPROM
myOLED
myQueue
mySparkfunHTU21D
newliquidCrystal
OneWireMove these folders to the Arduino\libraries folder in your Documents folder (for windows). Replace any existing folders or files.
Do not edit or replace any of these files. They have been edited and modified to use with the myDewControllerPro firmware

Maybe look at what OS your company is using if you work for a large company? Windows 10 Pro. So win11 gets tested by the lab rats= GP and stuff's up a load of stuff before being ironed out to the corps.

Have a read of this on the onstep.io forum for the pulleys used on an eq5 mount https://onstep.groups.io/g/main/files/Documents and Guides/OnStep-W32-CNCV3-EQ5-Build-Instructions.pdf
there is BOM on page 5. Albeit this is for a CNC3 build with a Wemos D1 But the parts listed should work you just need to input the gear ratio into the configurator then upload to Viagra I mean Blue pill.
Any questions ask on the Onstep Forum as very friendly.

Hi Fozzy, long term I think would be the evoguide but short term maybe the asi mini guide scope until I can afford the former
the ASI mini you could attach directly to the photo adaptor on the tube ring for now or in the finderscope bracket. Till you descide what dovetail bar to get and maybe a second finder shoe to attach the guidescope to as per the evoguide that would bolt directly to the top dovetail
-
Hi, Welcome to SGL. You could fit one of these https://www.firstlightoptics.com/dovetails-saddles-clamps/skywatcher-dovetail-mounting-plates.html then via some means attach your guide scope do have a guide scope in mind? maybe find a better solution if you tell us what you intend to attach to your 120ED.
-
take the dovetail off the scope and flip it and try in the mount by itself the angle of the pictures from FLO and yours don't really help
