Is it a case of just sliding gold WO mounting bar into mount head and screwing down ?
he has the dovetail attached to the scope looks wrong way round

Also make sure the clutches are engaged before attaching scope without attaching counterweights otherwise it is going to spin and scare you to death. ie scope crashing into the legs. As per @ONIKKINEN turn the dovetail the otherway round on the scope so it slots into to mount and tightened by the 2 thumbscrews

Ok Cool, thanks ...so mount from mains, usb thingy will power guide scope camera and normal camera battery for the dlsr. Correct ?
mount 12volts? not 240v unless using a power supply from 240v to 12 volts, dslr can you not get a dummy battery running from mains. Don't think the 4 port can provide enough power for your dslr camera. you will have to trial and error on that

yes so power goes into the remote end and will supply power to the ASI120 so no worries there.

So I've bought one of these to allow me to control everything from the house. Will that provide power to the guide scope? ASI 120 mini
Assume mount EQ5 Pro can plug into mains ?
what brand have you purchased? make and model . Usually these have 1 power supply that is used at the remote end.

I am thinking the same thing as fozzybear.
I have that mount but the goto kit so I was reluctant to post. Your first vid clearly shows the mount motors working so I don’t think you have an issue.
I am presuming with this motor kit you find the object with the clutches off. Lock clutches and center objects with the knobs then use the controller to follow the object.
One question? I don’t do anything internet based except this place. Is it normal that your videos are YouTube?
Most people on here from my experience put up a video without a third entity involved. Perhaps this is how it is done now🤷🏻
Marv
Yes Marv i had the same kit before i went Astroeq with my EQ5 as this gave me full control ie fast slewing with nema motors. manually move the scope to region of interest then use the handset. voila. Yup as per the youtube vid's ?

Hi, From your first video the mount is working correctly with the motor engaged as you can see the worm drive turning, Don't expect the mount to move fast as at 8x the mount moves at 2 degree per minute. there is no fast slewing with this upgrade, You have to loosen the silver knurled knobs and then use the black knobs to get your scope into the area you want to observe then tighten then re-tighten the silver knobs and then track with the handset.

I wouldn't be without my ST80.
I use it for grab and go on the horizon tripod. It is my white light solar observing scope. I have used it for terrestrial observing when on holiday. The lightness combined with the flexibility means it's a very useful scope.
Cheers
Ian
i pimped mine with a dual speed focuser god knows why but hey ho. it works a treat as a grab n go. thus the photo's the original

Out of interest, what is ID of focuser tube and how long is it?
I recently did some calculations for 80mm scopes (F/7.5 in my case, not as fast as F/5) - and it turns out that it is quite hard to illuminated larger field with regular focuser specs.
I suspect that situation might be even worse for ST80 given that it is F/5 and has focuser that is probably around 40ish mm in diameter (If I recall correctly - it has T2 thread on end of focuser tube, so focuser tube can't be much wider).

Thanks, this expands very nicely on your comments on my build.
Ny network days were to the end of IBM’s Token Ring and early adoption if TCP/IS
Me also IBM Token ring and MAU's funky connectors, Crikey also early 4MB network. Then went Decnet.

What with the cost of electricity our local village and many others have adopted 22-30 till 7-00 street lights off. And it is certainly dark here

You do need Win10 pro but on both PC's. The NUC it probably will be so we are thinking it is the remote PC that is the home edition.
Steve
you can botch it but via git but does the user want to go that route if IT ok

AFAIK you need windows 10 pro to use remote desktop features, may be wrong but thats what i understood when building mine.
My mini-pc has the setup you are describing, a travel router that creates a dummy offline wifi networl when the PC powers on and i just remote desktop to that with the android app on my tablet. No actual internet connection required and also the only time i have had it hooked to a monitor was the initial setup.
So looks like your home edition of W10 is the issue. Weird that it was sold like that since the point of most mini-PCs is to work headless.
thats what i said

this is a stock image fron FLO and now i am confused as the poster's image is rather blurred but looks like he has it the right way on the scope? So slot into dovetail on the mount groove and then tighten thumbscrews BTW i don't own this scope.
