  1. Just to add some information I have bought an old Rumble pad on flebay and all now works OK but would like to know has any one got a bluetooth gamepad to work with EQMod to control their mount that is not old technology such as a Logitech Rumble pad or an xBox controller? If so what make and model is it? Thanks Ken
  2. Hi Malcom I have done that but only get the un-populated page shown in my first post. The Auto Select pull down tab should show my gamepad but only shows Auto Select. Ken
  3. I have found the and run the gpmonitor.exe file but it show nothing in the pull down tab just the same as the Auto Select tab on button configuration. Regards Ken
  4. Hi Malcom thanks for the reply. Yes 6 years is a long time no one else has had a problem since then. Could you clarify where I can find the "EQmod folder"? If I open the EQmod toolbox I get this:- Should I change some of the numbers? Regards Ken
  5. Hi Carsten Thanks for the reply. Do you have any more information on the "cheap BT modules" and how you connected it? Many thanks Ken
  6. Hi guys have just got a Skywatcher WIFI module for my EQ5 mount. It all works OK using a smart phone but I want to control the mount using Stellirum. I have been able to control the mount using Stellirum on a laptop but would like to monitor the laptop inside on a Tablet using the same WIFI link. I have done this in the past using the home WIFI router and Microsoft remote desktop control. The trouble is when the Skywatcher module is connected vie the WIFI to the Mount it is not connected to the Tablet WIFI for monitoring. Does anyone know if the Skywatcher WIFI module can be used as a Hub and how to set it up or is it not possible? Many thanks for any help.
  7. Hi Rob I have a similar set up to you and I am just getting into guiding so far without success. Could you tell me what settings you use for PHD this could give me a better indication of how bad my backlash is. Many thanks Ken
  8. Hi Cec The image was taken on a Canon SLR unmodified through a 200mm Skywatcher. It is a stack of 36 32sec exposures. Ken
  9. Hi Carsten Thanks for the recommendation I now have a working system. I used a Nano micro-controller, an EasyDriver stepper motor board and an HC-05 BlueTooth module for the communication with my phone. I used MIT App Inventor to produce the App and Arduino to wright the sketch for the controller. I modified the sketch to communicate with HC-05 using a second serial port so as to use the default TX/RT (pin 0 and 1) to download the code. Thanks ken
  10. Hi Linda Welcome to the forum. Clad to see you have an interest in photographing nebula. Have been waiting weeks in the UK for a clear night. If you get the chance have a look at the Andromeda galaxy that can be very impressive. The little icon on the left was my first attempt at it. Ken
  11. Hi Carsten Have received the BT HC-05 module have managed to pair with it on my Android phone and can see the control App you sent but as yet only get a blank screen when I try to "Connect". Do you know the Baud used for communication? Do I need to set this on my phone? Do you have a link to the Arduino sketch you loaded into you system as I may have the wrong one. Thanks Ken
  12. Thanks again Carsten I have a BT module on order. Do you use a phone or laptop to communicate with your focusser and what software did you use to control it? Ken
  13. Thank you Carsten for your advice on a Bluetooth version. I have looked at the schematic and the input to the system seems to be a temperature sensor. What would this be replaced with for a Bluetooth version? Ken
  14. Has anyone built a Focuser that can be controlled by an Arduino micro-controller using infrared remote control? I am in the process of building one but have little experience with coding. If someone has made one I would be grateful for a look at you code/sketch. Many thanks Ken
