  1. I go to Menorca every year (excluding 2020, Covid19 🤬) and some of the views with the naked eye South are amazing once you get away from the resort lights. I’ve sat and enjoyed the Milky Way many a night but the hue from the hotels make a huge difference in what you can see. A 2 min walk can make a huge difference. There is an observatory on Majorca so would assume there’s some pretty dark sky’s there also. Hope this helps
  2. Agree, you need to loosen the centre screw first and then the 3 Allen bolts will be free to move in/out to adjust the mirror. Once adjusted you will need to tighten up the centre screw to lock the mirror in place again, but not too tight. Hope this helps.
  3. I sold one a few years ago on the EQ mount think I sold it for £30/£40. From what I can see on auction sites £30/£40 is most peoples going in position. Hope this helps
  4. Hi Mic2020, nice scope. I started with a similar one the Celestron 130. I found the Omni plossl’s worked well. One thing to point out is that you might benefit from a wider field of view and a lower power eyepiece might really complement what you have already. Something like the omni 32mm would work really well in observing the larger DSO’s as well as help you find the smaller targets before switching to a lower eyepiece like the 9mm. hope this helps
  5. Hello Startinez, from what I can see your scope would be pushing the limits of the EQM35 for visual use let alone astrophotography. The max capacity is 10kg for visual. As the mount is your foundation my advice would be to go for something more stable like the HEQ5. That way you would not be shelling out for a new mount (too soon anyway). That said the targets you have on your bucket list are easily achievable with a DSLR on a tracking mount such as the staradventurer and these would both be in your budget. hope this helps
  6. Get them a little closer together and you’ve got yourself a decent set of bins ?
  7. Thanks guys, so just checking will this keep the clouds away?
  8. Too late was the cry, should have read this 2 months ago, still I'm so impatient I probably would have still bought the scope. Will have to back track on the missing knowledge as I go
  9. Invaluable, so much experience all in 1 place, still getting used to it so will try and provide some more constructive feedback once I'm better placed, until till then can't fault it. Thanks guys
  10. Thanks, read this twice now and no doubt will be back again before I put my hand in my pocket. Really useful
  11. Thanks, glad I read this now and not 6 frustrating months down the line
