  1. I've seen the "light maps" but that haven't seemed that accurate so far - except for getting as far away from city lights as possible, of course. They also do not cover the clarity aspect of a sky. I don't think we can merely aim for the drying climate either - considering how great a lot of Hawaii is for observing, and how much rainfall it gets. Hawaii is one of the few places I've been where the sky really popped even without equipment. I'd like to get some first hand reports of where is best in the Mediterranean. Thanks!
