I am with you on that mate. I keep looking at a decent setup to enable binoviewing. My eyes water watching the cost spiral up. Personally I will stick with cyclops viewing and get a decent frac instead.

  3. Heritage 90 Mak nearing sea trials. RACI on so now just waiting on the beefy tripod. Happy days...

  4. A well-made Vesper cocktail. Mmm...I'm in love !

Well, I can say the Beehive looked beautiful using it, so I'm hopeful... :)

  6. At last! Rupes Recta... and then clouds, but so what... Finally found The Wall :)

  7. Dammit, every time I get ready to take the scope out, my shoulder acts up. Can you spell psychosomatic? Eek...I gotta condition!

    1. ronin

      ronin

What/when did you do something to the shoulder?

    2. ghostdance

      ghostdance

Christmas - cocktail shaker fell apart mid-shake. Quite a jerk. Shoulder's getting better but taking ages...perils of drink eh? :)

  8. Yippee...20mm TV Plossl bought (thanks Andre!), just the 25mm to go for the full set!

Thursday night seems to be the best bet for us witches to get our broomsticks out! My toad told me....

      Puglets

My broomstick is out and I am flying!!!! Great viewing tonight :)

  11. Listening to Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra - so evocative of night!

  12. Why o why do we call it (planetary, deep space) work when it's so gloriously play?

  13. At last this evening, Uranus! Tiny and a bit dodgy but....my sixth planet :)

I was elated when I managed to see Uranus and Neptune on the same night. Only PLuto to spot, out of my reach with my 150p though

    3. ghostdance

      ghostdance

I fear Neptune may be too much with my 6"/F5 in home skies. But I'll give it a go!

    4. orion25

      orion25

Go for it! I saw Neptune and Mars together in the same telescopic view a few days ago with my 127mm Mak. It's still not too far from Mars (a bit west). It's a cool blue little orb.

  14. My skies tonight......ohhh, nadgers, why bother...think I'll sit outside with a brolly & see if I can at least hear the ISS go over....

Excellent - that made me properly chuckle!

I did think at 9.15pm this evening, oooh it's getting darker earlier. So, when we get some clear weather, it will be good!

  15. Pleiades last night with 10x50s, they finally made it over the chimneys - a *lovely* sight. I've missed em! Roll on Autumn Skies.
