  2. Hi James can I ask a support question on here or is there a place dedicated?
  3. Hi everyone running astroberry to drive my eq6rpro all works fine but my order of setup after i plug everything in is as follows check focus on polaris or close star slew to a target not polaris recheck focus platesolve (slew to target) polar align platesolve again sync target take images etc now if I then park the mount after i have done the imaging and slew to another target it is never aligned not far off but always the same amount off so I have to platesolve again this is not a massive issue but a pain if I want to do some visual as I would like it to go where i want after plate solving before. so am I missing something? is this a mount issue in setup that I have not done or an Astroberry issue? or do I just not park it and remove my camera and carry on ! many thanks
  4. I will wait its not a biggie now I know thanks for the info
  5. ok thanks guys it just came up saying solve failed. I will check these and try to revert back to what it was. bit of a pain it not saving correctly have a great Christmas day
  6. There has been a new (to me) platesolver on Astroberry since the last update and it looks from the outset a lot more complicated with various options and profiles you can setup. for me the old system worked very well but now its flaky has anyone looked at this or have experience with anything but the default settings? is there anything that needs to be added etc?
  7. just about done mine now vey impressed with its performance, had the sensors sat in a jug of ice for a few hours and watched the temp etc all works all good one question is where do you site the sensors? I have a sw200pds and usually i have one heater wrapped around the guide scope and another round the base of the main tube
  8. very impressive looked like they had good glide control and the rotation at the end to bring it to landing position was incredible.
  9. going to give them a go on the 200pds as soon as i get some clear sky
  10. i was looking at the VX12 and ended up with the 14 I may live to regret that decision!
  11. it will go on the neq6 for now until I have saved up enough for the cem70 it will also be going in an obsy when I get the time to build it
  12. I already have a pier so hopefully it shouldnt need moving often! weatabix also on order
  13. thanks everyone for the input I have decided to go for a couple of the Morpheus ones to start and see how I get on with them
  14. yeah i know hence the question really as i want to make the most of what it can deliver. the statement ref cost difference was purely that there is quite a difference! are the less pricy ones less so in quality etc. i am leaning towards the Baader starter set atm I think it looks like a good medium at £375 for 4 but then there is the zoom!
  15. just to add my garden is north facing so planets are difficult with the house in the way so looking at dso and nebula
  16. I have very few eye pieces most were supplied with my 200PDS many years ago but rarely used as I have mainly been imaging. they include Skywatcher 28mm 10mm super plossl 52deg meade super plossl 6.4mm and a 40mm Plossl I also have a SW 2 x Barlow and a Televu powermate x 4 in the new year I will be taking delivery of a new VX14 14" F4.6 monster from Orion Optics! (very weak moment) and my beloved has asked what I want for Xmas so i am thinking of improving my eye piece collection. Still keeping the 200PDS for imaging. I was thinking maybe a good quality 8mm but looking for recommendations that would suit the new scope. budget isn't huge but I can pad it out a little what would you guys recommend please?
  17. Also managed to get my new ficus controller up and running!
  18. Thanks for that guys really appreciate it. I thought I had the wrong address as the display lit up but was blank with no characters! Tested with the i2c scanner and it reported 0x27 so looked elsewhere. Small twist of the pot on the i2c board and presto the characters appeared! Was just set too high! Still waiting for some bits but progress has been made Thanks again
  19. Mark how do you tell the type of chipset you have/need for the display unit?
