  2. I'm not in the same league as you're self John,i have been doing mostly AP,..well attempting...and want to get back into visual....less frustrating...and really feel i am missing something in that fl,and should have give a budget,probably £ 130 and used piece.

  5. Hi, I'm considering adding a new eyepiece, I have a gap from 12.5mm to 24mm.I was thinking of around 14mm but not sure of a higher one, probably swa or uwa. Don't want to spend big money, any ideas. Paul

  7. Couple of quick shots this morning,terrible seeing and about 40% of the scope was blocked by the obsy roof....but after making the effort to set the alarm there was no going back,but looked nice to the naked eye.Not sure why they are so pixilated......
  8. Started the night with great seeing,but when i got round to imaging not so good. c9.25,zwo 224mc @ f10.

  10. Managed to get this yesterday morning,very close to the Sun so wouldnt attempt if i had no goto. Image was really like looking over a fire and at times could hardly make out the cresent,really bad seeing,but thought i would image it any way. c9.25 @f10 and zwo 224mc.

  14. Yes John,tried last night with the 12",but could barely see the galaxy,i think under dark skies you may have a chance.

  16. Just for the record really,my first image of a super nova,very low and a lot of haze, so lucky to get it. c80ed and modded 450d @ around 1 hour of 2 min subs.

  18. This was just over 2 hours,with flats and bias frames using c9,25 @ f6.3.
  19. Dob out viewing Venus, lovely thin crescent, waiting for darker skies.
  20. Venus this evening,getting thinner but bigger. c9.25 and zwo 224mc @f10 and f20.
