Hello all, after having trouble recently with ASCOM, i finally got it sorted with the help from other forum members, i went out tonight to do a bit of AP and could not get connected,the only thing that has changed from when it was working is i got a new Lynx power lead, and there was a windows update today. Here are some screen shots of the message i am getting, any help would be really appreciated.

Sorry for the confusion,what i meant is it worked when i plugged the cable from the mount straight in to the laptop and not into the hub.so i have ordered a longer EQDIR cable so i can bypass the usb hub.

It works when directly into the USB port, but not when in USB hub, so may be the hub at fault

Ok, done what you said but still wont connect,so i removed the EQDIR cable from the usb hub and connected it straight into the laptop and it worked,so the problem may be the usb hub.

Yes the hand set works OK, the extension was connected to the USB hub, every thing else connected to it is working, I will try what you have said and see it that works, really appreciate your help malc.

First clear night in a while and again i cant connect again,i originally had the same problem but with the help of @malc-cgot it going.After tidying up my cables i added a usb extension to my laptop,which turns out to be faulty,so resorted back to the original usb,and getting same can not connect message. I have checked the com ports are the same and all the cables are not loose and still no joy.Obviously i am doing something wrong,but starting to do my head in now.

My new EQ6-R Pro, ready and waiting in the obsy for first light. Along with power and EQMOD cables courtisy of Flo.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this,i have just upgraded to an EQ6-R Pro and purchased a new Lynx EQDIR cable to controll from the laptop,but i cant connect to EQMOD....i am getting a message "connect error port not available"any ideas how to sort this. Thanks Paul

That's interesting as I was considering changing to a FL-53.

Its FPL-51.......thats obviously causing the star colour,i am also using an IDAS LPSD2 filter.

Just under an hour of 2 sec too 2 minute subs, couldn't resist it when i seen Orion coming up. Over exposed but its so difficult not too.

Dam... missed that and was out 3am...just got that app, thanks.
