  1. How did I miss that? I guess we’re a part of the three minute club!

    Hi

Welcome to SGL, glad you’re now a member!
  3. Oh I have everyone beat, about three min to put my scope out and get an eyepiece in it. Visual astronomy is a beautiful thing!
  4. Amazing! your first observing experience vould not have been smoother and more rewarding, to say you are well on your way would be an understatement. Welcome to SGL!

    Hello

Welcome to SGL! Though I cannot be of help regarding imaging, I can say that we host a vast imaging section where you will find threads on the subject for days on end.
  6. Another WOW! Not sure what advantage a moonless night would be, considering this image is killer.
  7. This makes me want more TV items, my wallet will never forgive me! Thank you FLO for posting this, in this image I see a group of great people beaming with passion for what they do, fantastic!.
  8. When I just zoomed in on it I was surprised at how much it does look like a UFO with some sort of glowing propulsion system.
  9. Lol, I was waiting for someone to mention that, that pesky lens flare always shows up when pointing at a bright object.
  10. Nice topic, I was looking for a place to share my love for astronomy, when I signed up for SGL I was afraid It would be a fad from which I would slowly withdraw from as I am a huge procrastinator and seldomly finish what I start lol. But once I was in I felt welcomed and engaged, you all were interested in what I had to say and It gave me a feeling of family. It was impossible to forget or become lazy about participating.
  11. Early bedtime meant I couldn’t wait for moon to be visible in my back garden so the driveway it was. Good thing lunar observing amd street lights aren’t an issue.
  12. This should be reversed, as much as I love my refractor I’m pretty sure that in terms of resolution it cannot reveal more than a larger scope, i don’t care what design. Having said that, my refractor reveals things differently, but that is a whole other thread.
