Saturn last night Registax Wavelets vs. Astra Deconvolution

I took seven 190-second 1300 frame AVIs of saturn. These were individually pre-processed in PIPP and stacked in Autostakkert!2. I then sharpened the results in Registax and Astra.

Gamma and a 200% resample were also applied in Registax.

The Astra results were tweaked for contrast and resampled 200% in Photo-Paint, which definitley does these better than Astra.

Of the seven, two runs of video looked particularly good, with the Cassini division visible right round, so I stacked these two together and also stacked all seven videos.

From all of these the stack of the two best videos was best in Registax and Astra.

Not alot in it.Both great shots.If i had to pick one i'd go for the Astra shot.

Definitely pic 1. It's more noisy but a longer capture would probably sort that. Nice comparison!

I've taken the best four instead. AS!2 clearly shows how the earlier two are lower quality than the last two, but there are enough good frames to help.
