Jupiter Bembridge 19/12

Not a lot to show for last night, as sadly things started to cloud out not long after midnight before Jupiter was high enough for the best seeing.    I did wake up at 3am, but the sky was completely obscured.

Still any chance is a an opportunity not to be missed in Blighty ;)

RGB taken @ F15 with the Europa 250 and QHY5L-IIM:

The capture was 60s/channel, and 30% of frames (1800ish/channel) drizzled 1.5x in AS!2.   Wavelets in R6 and PP in CS2.

Not bad Jake given Jup must have been pretty low at that time. Selective colour adjustment in CS2 may help with the blue on the left limb and looks like you will need to do a separate RGB alignment on a new layer with the moons. I always have that problem as well, either the planet is ok or the moons, never both!!. A layer for the planet and one for the moons is the way to go in my experience.

Thanks Freddie and Harvey, glad to get something out, though would probably have been a better night for widefield.

The blue channel was very soft and noisy, as usual :-(, but I will try some colour noise reduction. I was lazy on the moons, but will do another layer.
