Finally got my Whole Setup

Recommended Posts

Hi People, I've posted a few times but not many as I have been trying get myself a decent setup. Well I have finally put all my bits together and heres my equipment with photos.

Skywatcher Quattro 10s with F4 Coma Corrector for Deep Sky Imaging fitted with Canon Eos 500d

Skywatcher Equinox ED80 for my Guide Scope and Grab Scope.

NEQ6 Pro with SkyScan

Optic Star AG131M CoolAir Camera

OS Filter Wheel

OS High Transmission Filters

Laser Collimator

X3 ED Barlow

V-V Losmandy Plate

I hope I've got everyhting I need now to get some goo DSO images, because thats me broke now. Just got to get to grips with the mount and being able to control it with Shoestring GPUSB if anyone has any tips with this would be good ?

I also had problems with the Altitude/ Latitude Bolts that come with the NEQ6, with in 5 mins of using them they bent. You would think for £950 they could give you a set of decent bolts.

Luckily enough I managed to make myself an upgraded set, which work a treat

Anyway heres a few pics of my scope, yet to be taken outdoors and put through its paces. Its a little bit of a back breaker but hopefully worth every bit of back crunching agony. Ha!! Ha!!.

Any tips with using the Quattro 10s would be great.

Thanks.

Make sure you collimate every time you go out, otherwise you won't get the best out of it. It's quick and easy with a laser, so it's not too much of a chore.

Oh, and a small fork lift or a couple of burly blokes to lift it, feels twice as heavy after you've just lugged the EQ6 down the garden. :icon_compress:
