EQ6 Replacement Alt and Az bolts

Anyone know of anyone that does one-offs for the above? They are M10 threads, 90mm and 40mm.

I'd like something with knurled ends, as opposed to the silly flippy things, and stainless steel so the things don't bend!!

Are they not designed to be soft so that they don't strip the thread inside the mount?

I was wondering about changing the bolts on mine, when speaking to an engineer friend he said that the bolts looked as though they were designed to strip in the event of cross threading or failure, without damaging the thread inside the mount.

Therefore they could be easily replaced.

Well, I guess it makes sense the mount thread being the hard bit!!

Still don't like the flippy things though!!

I think Greg is right - switching to a harder material might lead to your damaging the threads in the mount(?)

Yup they are from John along with the new handset cable and the M3 mounting plate.
