LRGB stack of M42 using photoshop

Reprocessed data captured 28th January, finally (with help of SGL members) managed to get the LRGB stack to work in PS and the results seem quite good.

From memory I think the details are as follows

Captured 28/1/11 at the Norman Lockyer Observatory, Sidmouth

Equipment

William Optics ZS66

NEQ6 Pro Mount

Atik 314L CCD Mono Camera

LRGB Baader Filters in a manual wheel

Lum - 25 *120 sec subs

Red - 20 * 120 sec subs

Green - 20 * 120 sec subs

Blue - 20 * 120sec subs

Each colour group stacked and aligned in Maxim, DDP stretched. Alignment of 4 colour files done in Maxim also.

Each completed colour sub then stacked and tweaked in CS5

Ohh.. and it was freezing!!! )
