My first moon pic

My first moon picture, taken with my canon 1000d, my sw st 102 scope and eq1 mount. I've sharpened it slighly, but generally looks ok I think.

Top Job MJ, and it seems you got a little colour into the Sea of Tranquility and the Sea of Vapours. Looks that way on my monitor at least. A bluish cast.

Here's my first image of the moon taken with my Olympus E-500 tonight.

One click on the sharpen in Photoshop. I wish I had set the camera up for RAW, but forgot it was set to save as jpg and thus compressed the image somewhat... just need a few more clear nights to experiment more

It's a Skywatcher 200P on a EQ-5 goto mount. The 200P is an 8" reflector with a focal length of 1000mm (f5). - Typical price is £675 from Rother Valley Optics / FLO etc
