Rosette - first light DIY quad acro

Weather was too poor to even attempt guiding with the 8" newt so I had first light with my prototype short focal length 90mm Quadruplet Achromat. I just left it tracking (unguided) for about two hours in patchy cloud and luckily still managed 27min (54 x 30s) of usable subs.

It not that good, but this actually exceeded my very low expectations. I expected more coma and CA. (I think my new BAADER UHC-S filter helped the CA).

A shorter focal length doesn't half make life easier.

thanks for looking

John
