Afocal M34 1st attempt

A couple of night ago I manged to get out before the clouds rolled in.

I thought for a change I would have a go at getting a pic of M34.

I am reasonable happy as a first go.

You can see the colour contrast between the white stars in the middle and 3 yelow orange stars round the edges.

M34 is between 1400-1500LY away and about 7LY across.

As you say the star colours show well.

Must try and find M34, don't think I've ever chased it yet for some reason

Yep it was with the 5600.

15 seconds ISO 800.

I used the 2 second self-timer to stop camera shake.
