first time with out with new scope

I collected my synscan goto 127 Mak last Saturday from Rother Valley Optics.

I ran around to get some extra bits too - dew shield, small spirit level, deep cycle rechargeable battery.

After familiarising myself with the controls over the weekend

last night I took it outside for the first time. I was thrilled with what I could see. I was trying to set up the goto but I could not pick out a known star in the view because it was filled with dozens. I really needed to get the finder scope set accurately. So job for today in daylight!

It's a very nice scope Karen. Got mine from there too for Christmas. Still lots to learn. I tried Xmas night before I had aligned the finder. No chance!
