No wonder I struggle sometimes

Sometimes I struggle to get a sharp image at higher magnifications when viewing things toward the south. This is often worse in the winter. Looking at this photo, it's not surprising with houses, trees and the blummin' boiler outlet every time one of the three women in my house decides to have another shower or bath...aaaaagh!! the joys of the combi boiler.

The first time I had the Skymax out just before Christmas, I had the same sort of steam coming from our boiler vent. It was about -8°C and the steam was freezing and 'snowing' onto the scope. The Mrs thought it was funny for some reason ....

sounds like your wife has the same sense of humour as mine. It would not surprise me if they are peeping through the curtains whispering 'turn the tap back on, turn the tap back on'

I have the Ratcliffe on Soar power station providing my version of your combi boiler. My kids call it the cloud factory.

Yup, living out t'in country can be a pain, as everyone loves their coal fires/wood burners and the smoke can really affect seeing.

You are not the only one to suffer this, Moonshane....
