Okay, this is a cheesy post - you have been warned!

I took this last night. Didn't think of dew and pointed it straight up. Hence there were only 14 frames until the lens dewed up. Still, 42 minutes of the earth's rotation is presented here, with a borrowed foreground.

I think this is a cracker Andrew! Is ther eanything that you could do to a DSLR lens to prevent it dewing/freezing up? (I left my cam out in the garden at -8C for 75 minutes yesterday night and even the ripod was frozen up, never mind the lens)

Nice one Andrew, I like that. You can use camping mat as a dew shield, I have several for different lenses ...

Great composition Andrew,you should try putting a hand warmer on your lens.I just secure them with an elastic band,delays the dewing for a good 30-40 mins.

I use the gel discs with the metal plate in that you snap to activate,then put in boiling water for 10 mins to reactivate after use.Think i have about 6 of them.

Cheesy is one thing - cheesy and religious would be a bit too much!

Stewart - good tip. I should get myself some of those for when I don't have a power supply handy.
