Strange object near Rigel?

I was out trying to set up guiding on my scope a short while ago, and used Rigel as a guide star. The first image was taken at 18:58, and the second 19:11, 30s exposures.

What d'you reckon the blue nebula like object is? On the hi-res the core seems to be green. Very strange!

And yes the guiding's not working out too well!

I agree. A reflection artefact of some sort I would say.

A small watermark on the lens being illuminated by the brightness of Rigel?

It is pretty though. Would make for a very nice nebula.

Strange, it's also trailed in the same direction as the rest of the stars. From what I can see atleast.

yep i reckon a reflection....as Rigel moves off axis the reflection will appear to move away......
