2 unforseen problems

The obs is getting on for a year old now and this winter has thrown up 2 problems.

1) I have a roll over roof on mine and when I built it I fixed a rubber drip strip between the higher and lower roof section, Im glad I did because the driving rain and snow we have had latley was sure to have got in to the obs. The problem is tho when we get a bit of a thaw then re-freeze this strip freezes solid to the lower roof making it impossible to open, I have just spent 30 mins with a hairdryer thawing it out enough to prise it open.

2) Because the obs is built on a slope I built a raised deck around it to level it all out - that deck is now like a skating rink - Bambi on ice

had nothing on me just now LOL.

But having said all that I wouldn't change a thing - I have an Obs and any shelter in this weather is better than none!
