Lovely pic of a interesting object. I was looking at this yesterday with my ZS 66 and Uwan 4mm (X97) and it looked marvellous as the sky seemed quite transparent even down at low altitudes. I'm sure I caught a glimpse of the planetary nebula (NGC 2438, magnitude 10.1) before I knew exactly where it was located in the cluster.

Exposure Capture: Maxim

Scope: GSO CF RC200 with WO F2 reducer

EFR: f/7

Mount: EQ6 Pro

Exposure Setting: Prime focus

Exposures: 10 x 6m and 4 x 10 min 1hr 40min between 11:0012/12/2010 and 1:00pm13/12/2010

Seeing: Slight moon, no wind, good seeing

Guiding: Orion Starshoot Autoguider using PHD with ED80

Focus: Bahlitnov mask

Stacking: DSS with flats darks and bias frames

Processing: PS CS3
