Night Sky Website

Hi All,

Whilst waiting for my telescope to arrive I was searching for some night sky websites and found this one that I thought was useful, an easy read and informative.

Also one that I really enjoy is

Heavens-Above Home Page

You can put in your location and it will tell you when and where satellites will be passing over and iridium flares. It's quite cool to see the predictions are so accurate. You don't even need a telescope or binoculars. There is also other good stuff.

Can anyone do better?

"Stellarium" - There I just did better!!!!!(lol)

Seriously - Stellaruim is exellent and gives a "true" view of the night sky. Another good one is "Cartes du Ceil" which gives exellent, printable, skycharts and you can download files of more or less as many stars as you could possible want! Both are free.

I downloaded Stellarium...it's more of a portable programme than a website though but it's pretty cool
