Its a Hubble image. The quality is not that good (not sure if thats Hubbles fault or human error in processing (its very grainy).

But its an AMAZING image non the less of the most amazing spiral galaxy i personally have ever seen.

It's amazing what is out there

It's a planetary nebula, reminds me of that rocket that was seen over somewhere not long ago (Sweden?)

It looks more like some sort of artifact present when this image was taken (maybe dust) or it's a processing result/reflection.

HA.............the penny just dropped for me. IF this was a spiral galaxy then there would be a bright central core. Having reread the description i now see that it is a planetary nebula.

It does a mighty fine impression of a spiral galaxy. Maybe just a bit too well to be one.

That is quite an image! Just shows the infinate possibilitys of our universe....mind boggling!
