25mm Paradigm vs 25mm Planetary

Has anyone made a comparison between the Astro-Tech 25mm Paradigm Dual ED and the TS 25mm Planetary HR? Which is the best in a fast Newtonian?

I know the Cloudy Nights review said the 25mm Paradigm was the weak link, the runt of the litter and not well suited to a fast newtonian. And from what John(inderby) says, the 25mm TMB is much the same.

That's all i know. I have had the all the models upto and including the 18mm but avoided the 25mm for that reason.

Yes I found that the 25 mm planetary shows distortion about 50% out from the centre in a fast scope. Nice and sharp in the centre though. It should make a fine eyepiece in an SCT or Mak.

I read the 25mm paradigm review and bought a 26mm meade 5000 plossl instead - which starts to show distortion from about 50% out from centre in a fast scope....Nice and sharp in the centre though....etc

I would expect a Plossl such as the 26mm Meade 5000 to perform much better. Showing distortion from about 50% out from the centre in a fast scope does not sound good enough.
