Astro Holiday in November - Ideas please

So, it's our (me & Drummerp aka Neil) 10th wedding anniversary in November & we're contemplating an astronomy holiday (abroad would be preferred) - anyone got any good ideas/ know of anywhere?

Only rec from me is astroadventures in Devon. Very accommodating hosts and lovely dark skies. Not abroad I know - sorry!

How about hiring a log cabin (Kielder Calvert Trust) springs to mind. Also very close to Kielder Observatory. Not abroad but pristine skies.

Don't know how you'd go on re equipment but I can say that Cyprus has the climate, the exotic of abroad, goes dark early and has VERY clear skies and it gets VERY dark, even a short drive from Ayia Napa will get you some pitch blackness at night. I reckon anyone on here whose been to Cyprus will echo the above.

Thanks everyone - some very good ideas there will have to look into them.

I think Penrices pad is looking most appealing at the mo, that way we can get stuck into imaging with some expert assistance.

Kai - Already done Maldives a couple of Christmas's back with bins, stunning but not astro enough for us.
